MORE THAN 130 YEARS ON THE PODIUM
History was made on May 18, 1889, when Willie Hume knocked out the other competitors at a cycling event in Belfast. He won 4 out of 5 races with made up tyres the year before by John Boyd Dunlop.
Until now, Dunlop is still breaking world records. Dunlop was chosen for the first production lap at 161 km/h, in 1969 and since then, they broke 8 absolute speed records at the Isle of Man TT, including Peter Hickman's recent landmark of 217 km/h in 2018.
Dunlop never leaves trying to improve grip, control and security of the riders so they can only focus in the driving. They constantly develop new technologies and test them under racing conditions. Only then they become part of the core product range.
The innovations, which include Heat Control Technology (HCT), Jointless Tread (JLT) and their NTEC low pressure system, have all been developed based on the passion for motorsport. They all provide the confidence to make you feel safe.
